Importance Of Argumentative Essay Topics In Academic Writing

Argumentative essay is types of essay, where the student wants to investigate the topic in detail to collect, generate and evaluate the data. In argumentative essay, there should be an introduction, content and conclusion. Introduction is where you lay the foundation of your argument. It contains main point, background information and thesis. Main point is the sentence that grabs reader’s attention. Next part is background information. That is trying to answering the questions like who care? Why is it important etc? Next part is thesis. Thesis statement is typically the last paragraph of introduction section. This is the place where you clearly state your position on the topic and give reason for that. You can use the word like “should” in your thesis because it makes clear that I’ m taking stance on the argument. 

Next step of argumentative essay writing is, developing the argument. Claim and evidence is the important part of developing the argument. A claim is a statement that makes to support the argument. For each claim you need to explain evidence. So evidence is the statement that explains why you support your argument. 

The next section is where disproving your opponent’s argument. You break your opposition’s arguments using your evidences and claim. The last pat is conclusion. This is the section to conclude your essay. After reading the conclusion, the reader should accept your points. Conclusion contains the summary of all your points. Closing with a clear picture of the world as you would like it to be can leave your reader convinced that your argument is valid.
In academic writing, argumentative essay topics have huge scope. Avoid emotional language, cite your sources, make an outline are the important things to write an argumentative essay. Also be prepared to defend your side with  more powerful arguments
